Telehealth

We understand that sometimes it's not easy to get to an appointment in person. At Modern Chinese Medicine, Dr. JP (TCM) can offer professional TCM Telehealth service if you cannot reach the clinic in person. Appointments are 15 or 30 minutes.

Dr. JP offers Telehealth when you can’t get to the clinic;

or if you have cold or flu symptoms and need to stay at home.

How telehealth can help you:

1. Get professional TCM advice from home

2. Have your tailored herbal medicine sent to you

3. Get lifestyle, dietary, exercise advice and/or acupressure coaching to help your condition.

Please note: telehealth consultation may not be suitable for the treatment of every condition. Telehealth cases are taken at the practitioner’s discretion.

Acupressure Coaching
via Telehealth

A powerful tool to manage your symptoms right away — wherever you are.

What is Acupressure?

Acupressure is a Chinese Medical therapy used in China for a long time. People have used acupressure to help themselves and their families for a variety of ailments and symptoms.

If deemed suitable for you during consultation, acupressure can be prescribed for you. Dr. JP will coach you on how to apply it for your condition.

This will be part of your Telehealth session.

What Does It Help?

Acupressure may assist with:

  • Pain symptoms: back ache, tight neck, shoulder tension, etc.

  • Functional health symptoms: headaches, period pain, stomach ache, slow moving bowels, and cold and flu symptoms, etc.

  • Mental-Emotional symptoms: stress, anxiety, poor sleep, low mood.

Coaching & Protocol

Acupoints are specific points on your body located at the surface of your skin. You will learn how to activate them. By doing it correctly, the treatment can work optimally for you. You may feel relief fairly quickly. More stubborn symptoms however may require consistent applications over a few days to a week to get longer lasting relief. Typically you will have a review appointment after a week to follow up on progress.

There are over 600 acupoints on the body. Which points and which combination of points to press - is key for an effective treatment. An acupressure protocol will be designed for you after a professional diagnosis is made by Dr. JP.

Limitations

Like any therapy, Acupressure can be effective for certain symptoms - while for other conditions, other modalities of treatment may be required.

Dr. JP (TCM) can determine the suitability of acupressure for you, after assessing your health concern and advise alternatives should it not be deemed assistive.
